N-gons, quadrangles and triangle
Hello,
I am doing my degree project and try to see the transformation of a letter when it goes from 2D to 3D. The two-dimensional world has an incredible number of fixed rules and a clear system to relate to. This I have not revealed in the three-dimensional world.Right now I’m looking at what happens when you give a character a depth. What are the different parameters, I can take into account and so on.
I have chosen text-spline and deposited my letter in an extrude-NURBS. What I then see as an opportunity to guidelines is three things. The extrude-NURBS can I choose the “type”, I have the opportunity to three choices (n-gons, Quadrangle and Triangle). Can someone in a pedagogical way to explain to me what the difference between these are and how they arise, what is it that determines its various functions?
(Take a look at the atteched file.)
Thanks in advance!
