I tried to encode a sequence in premiere to WMV. I set all my settings, named it, clicked save, and the rendering window popped up. This is all normal so far.

The only odd thing is, instead of starting at zero percent, the render started at:

    42,949,443.87%

    Full progress bar

    frame negative 8510 (-8510) out of 3715

All the numbers then started jumping around randomly. I snagged a screenshot, then cancelled it. I tried again, and it worked normally, there doesn’t seem to be any problems. But seriously. What the heck? Here’s the screenshot.

Okay… apparently I suck at life, and am incapable of posting a screenshot. So here’s a link.

If you set the Range to Entire Project, you have about 8500 frames of empty timeline prior to the video starting. Try setting Range to Work Area Bar.

Hmm. That would make sense… I thought I had set it to work area though… and when I did it the second time, I didn’t change ANY settings and it worked normally.
