    Hi friends,

My 2 GHz Intel Core Duo, OS 10.5.8 does not recognize my new Canon HF S100 camcorder. I am using FCP 6.0.1 and iMovie 09 and the camera does not appear on either of these software. I have initialized the memory card on the camera as someone suggested on this forum but nothing happens.

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

    Thanks.

Hi there! Ok so I am pretty sure you would have likely done all this already, but I figure just in case…

Have your camera plugged into the charger and the USB. Turn it on and make sure it is in review movie mode. You should get asked on your viewfinder on the camera if you want it for a computer or something else, click computer. Open imovie and then click on the little camera that is on the left side of the window but right in the middle up and down-wise. It’s the same button you press when you want to record yourself through the isight cam.

Hope this helps, though I know it most likely wont.
