My HD 1080i24pA footage doesn’t look high quaity in FCP
Ok, I have a couple of questions. I recently shot some HD footage 1080i24pA from a Panasonic HVX. I am working with a Macbook Pro and Final Cut Pro 5.1.
My footage doesn’t look high quality, especially as I look at it through a external monitor.
A lot of the footage is in low light which makes me think this is the problem but Low light was the point of the shoot.
The footage seems very grainy and not the quality I was expecting for HD footage. Am I missing something? How do I get the maximum resolution out of my footage?
Why are the MXF files larger than the .mov files FCP uses. Was there data loss during conversion?
