My clips freezing up after rendering an effect
Everytime I render an effect in avid it freezes up my clips in the sequence, so that when I play it, the audio plays but not the video. If I just close avid and open it again it works fine. I’m editing on a gateway laptop with 8 gb of ram. Is this just generally a ram problem?

Where does your Media Creation settings have the renders going to. External drive?

No, the renders are going to the internal hard drive.

Do you have an external drive you can send these to? Just curious.
