My audio is out of sync when I export
Posted by Nicholas Neal on May 30, 2013 at 2:33 amWhenever I export a certain project from avid media composer, the audio goes out of sync. What could be the cause of this?

May 30, 2013 at 3:39 amThere used to be an issue when the audio tracks started with Avid black rather than actual audio (even if silent). That may still be the case, something too look at.

May 30, 2013 at 8:21 amI’ve tried not having the audio start with black frames. It’s sill out of sync. Do you of any other reason. Could it be a result of not having windows media player 11?

May 30, 2013 at 1:56 pmAvid Black is “filler” or just blank space in the timeline before start of program.

May 30, 2013 at 2:49 pmDoes it happen with all projects? You say a certain project – what are project settings, more specifically what are your export settings? Does it happen with a Quicktime export or only with Windows Media? Have you tried playing the file in VLC player which is a free download?

May 31, 2013 at 2:03 amWow it actually does play fine in VLC. In regard to export settings. it’s 1920 by 1080. It’s set to export as a quicktime. It’s size to fit and the audio settings are stereo. Also yeah, this is the only project that’s doing this.
