One of my clients has given me a card tht has been completely corrupted. I have managed to get the data back by using ‘Disk Drill’ and the MXF files play fine (with audio) in VLC. The probilem I’m having is that because the file structure of the files is not there any more premiere pro and adobe encder are having problems importing them.

I’d like to re-encode the files if possible for them to edit on their MAC (they have CS6 suite). Can anyone recommend a good encoder and file format?

    Many thanks in advance

    Jamie

EDIT: I have also tried to import through the media browser…

Try importing one of the files into After Effects and see if it will play there. AE doesn’t care so much about the file structure and such. If it works you can output/encode from there.
