MXF files Won’t open in FCP
I’m new so I hope I’m posting this in the right place. was hoping someone could help me. My hard drive crashed – it contained all my footage from my xf100, really important stuff. I ran diskwarrior on it but it stalled halfway thru. I then sent the drive to a disk recovery specialist who was able to recover. Problem is, about 30% of the footage won’t open in fcp because the directory isn’t perfect (probably due to quitting diskwarrior). The MXF files are still there, but don’t open in VLC. Is there anyway to open up or salvage these MXF files?? What are my options? Please help! Thank you!

FCP doesn’t work with MXF files natively…not without plugins like Calibrated or MXF4Mac. Do you have those?
