Music libraries
Posted by Bob Cole on July 28, 2007 at 5:52 pmI’ve been looking for some new music libraries. Buyout, online, lease — open to all. Budget is an issue, though I don’t want something that sounds like one guy with a synthesizer.

July 28, 2007 at 6:10 pmBeen a fan for years of Killer Tracks. But SmartSound is coming on strong. And that’s RF, as opposed to KT, which is about $75/track for limited distro.

July 28, 2007 at 7:14 pmYou can also get some bargains at Digital Juice. They sometimes offer deals on their Stacks series which come in layers that can be remixed. I also like Smart Sound for its ability to create tracks to fit any length. Smart Sound features some tracks from other libraries such as Music Bakery as well as some layered discs that can be remixed as well as retimed.

July 28, 2007 at 8:05 pmMy vote is Killer Tracks. They have a dozen or more libraries. Check them out at https://www.killertracks.com/launchpage/KillerTracks/ Click to enter then choose Killer Trackfinder and you can search the library.

July 29, 2007 at 12:50 amGotta admit, for pretty decent stuff revostock.com is great. Like digital juice, it’s royalty free, but better quality stuff. More variety. Something like $10 a track, use it all you want from my understanding. Easy to broswe too.

July 29, 2007 at 3:14 amDid you upgraded to FCS2? Realize this now includes a number of musical scores with the Soundtrack Pro content. These are royalty free. Also the new Adobe CS3 Production Premium bundle comes with Smartsound-style customizable scores as part of the content that loads for Soundbooth.
Sincerely,
