If I have one veg file open, but there is an element/piece I want from another veg file to include in my original, how do I get that element from the 2nd veg file into the 1st?

When I tried to drag the 2nd veg file into the timeline of the 1st, it placed it as one event, meaning I could not see the individual pieces, just one long piece w/o any of the transitions, etc…

    Thanks,

    Brett

Sounds like you are using the nested Veg feature of V6?

That does exactly what is says… nests an entire Veg within another Veg. If you don’t want the entire Veg… then you will have to create another Veg with just the bit you want. Or else… simply trim the Veg that you nested to the exact section you wanted (although you got the whole nested Veg on your timeline you can treat it like any other contiguos event and split it, trim it, re-size it, etc etc etc).

It sounds like all you need to do is open both instances of Vegas and copy and paste.
