    Hi

    Im wondering if there is a technique to apply multiple Luma track mattes to a single layer in after effects. I guess the way would be to tryout the mattes one at a time and then pre comp them together – but it would be better if they could be edited within the same composition.

    Here’s an AE quick tip (COW video tutorial) that might help you. It works with transparency, not luminance, but it does let you use more than one layer for your transparency control.

    you can use the set matte effect
    this will fix the problem simply
