Multiple Rendering Issues Using H.264 in 64-bit Sony Vegas Pro 12.0
Hello, and first of all, thank you for reading.
I recently installed the 64-bit H.264 codec via SourceForge in efforts to improve my YouTube upload quality. After some basic tinkering with the settings and my first try at a render, I was unsatisfied with the results. The quality wasn’t noticeably better than my previous render settings (though the size did seem smaller) and one of my Video Event FX was completely missing. These were the render settings used initially.

I’ve spent hours shuffling through Google and doing my own troubleshooting to try and find the cause, but to no avail. No one setting seems to cause the error and nothing I could find on Google was even remotely related.
My second problem came to me through the troubleshooting process, when I noticed that the aforementioned disappearing Video Event FX are also missing with the regular render settings that I’ve used for months. Further investigation lead me to find out that the FX also disappears simply when changing the preview quality to anything higher than “Preview” even when moving frame by frame. This is the desired effect (created using Glint).

And the apparent result (keep in mind that the bit of glint seen below is a part of the image itself and not a result of some butchered effect).

This has been eating at me for going on day 2 now. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
