Multiple lines of text and judder effect.
Hey there,
I need some help over here.
I’m trying to put a quotation onto a video. It’s about four lines and needs a source as a subtitle. I’m having a hell of a time trying to get that subtitle down there and trying to get the text field large enough to fit the quotation. Am I using the wrong tool? I think Apple just wants me to use two lines for a title and subtitle but I’d like to use the horizontal blur on the quotation.
Here is what happens when I just put the text in. I am no longer able to select the subtitle beneath the text.
I’ve fiddled and managed to make the text smaller and I’ve put several paragraphs in the subtitle beforehand so I can now select it so it looks like this:
But that’s far from ideal. Is there another way of doing this? It’s the kind of thing that I feel was easy in fcp7.
My second question is; I want to achieve the judder/shudder on the titling that happens in horror films. I.e the title flickers and moves a tiny but; as if it’s a dying insect. Is there a filter to achieve this? does anyone have any experience with what this entails? I presume I can just keyframe it but it would be far easier with a script someone has.
As usual much appreciation to anyone who helps out. This forum has been my saviour on a number of occasions.
All best wishes,
James
