Multiple HD’s and OS’s
Hi everyone, I’m running M100 v1.5.1 on OS 10.6.2 with an AJA Lhe board with no issues but that OS will only run Adobe CS4. I’m wanting to install another internal HD to run Yosemite so I can install CS6 (I currently render AE CS6 on my slooooowww laptop) and the most recent M100 software I bought for $99 earlier this year before the El Capitan release. I can’t drop 1K for a new Aja card at the moment so want to install a new HD and have one system for short edits/rendering and my main LHe system for longer run work. Will running a higher OS on a diff HD in the same box install firmware that will kill my AJA LHe M100?

Aloha Doug,
As far as I can see, you should be okay. Just don’t update your Aja drivers.

So updating the drivers will keep the card from being backward compatible with the older OS and version?

show that:
” AJA KONA LHe – AJA driver version 9 or later (9.1 is recommended)”
so that’s the latest driver you should have installed.Hope that helps!

No, it’s an older machine with a 500GB HD and I’ve stepped up to a 1TB 7200 for the space. BTW, do you know if the firmware upgrade on the LHe will negatively impact my existing 1.5.1 install on OS 10.6?

As I recall, my LHe system worked flawlessly with that configuration. I since upgraded to the LHi card and still works great. Just don’t update the AJA software past version 9.
