  Multiclips coming into sequence unrendered

  I have footage in 3 different formats (XDCam EX, AppleProRes HQ & DVCProHD).
  I shot on Sony EX3, RED ONE & HVX200 (I know…never again…)
  I’ve converted my RED and HVX files to XDCam (1080p24), everything was shot at 23.98fps and FCP multiclips the footage with no problem and I see all of my camera angles playing back (video and audio) in the VIEWER window.

  Problem is…when I drop the multiclip onto a sequence to begin choosing camera angles during playback, I cannot get the mullticlip into the sequence without requiring a render…of course, when I render the footage, I can only playback one camera angle. I’ve check the footage settings and my sequence settings to be certain that they match but still no dice.

  Anyone have any input as to what detail I must be missing?
