    Hello,

I just converted two camera shots in Cinema Tools from 30 fps to 29.97 fps to use the multiclip feature in FCP.

I used PluralEyes to sync it together and create the multiclip, but when I watch the multiclip all the way through, the two cameras that actually shot at 29.97fps are way ahead of the two that I had to convert down to 29.97fps. How should I fix this? This project has been a complete headache – any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Thank you. I hadn’t done it before, so I had no idea.
Have you used Twixtor? Is it a quality killer?

Wow. That isn’t going to happen for me right now. I sure am frustrated.

For the future, when I do use this program, will it produce stuttery video if I convert the frame rate down?

Alrighty – just researched Twixtor and may make that investment. Is it going to give me insanely long render times, though? I watched a tutorial and it seems like if I did what they did on my current machine, I’d be rendering for weeks if I’m lucky.

Dave – just downloaded the demo, and tried it.

I input a 6 minute file into Cinema Tools to conform it, then sent it to FCP to apply the Twixtor filter to it, and to change the speed to 100.1.

The render is clocked at 11 hours.

I have to apply this to two more hour-long clips, and I have a feeling I will have trouble later with Color.

This is incredibly frustrating – there has got to be something wrong with my machine to be rendering SO slowly. Suggestions? I am running out of time here.
