  • multiclip rendering = collapsing multiclip sequence?

I don’t remember this happening before, but I’ve been working with 3 angles in a multiclip sequence. When I render the sequence and then play it back, I no longer see all my angles in the viewer while the timeline is playing; only when playback is stopped. Is rendering the sequence effectively the same as collapsing it? If I make any changes to an individual clip (that would require re-rendering), it works normally for that clip but as soon as I get past that clip to a rendered clip, this behavior returns. Anyone know why?

That’s the way FCP’s multicam works.
After you render, you will not see all your angles in the viewer.
My workflow is to not put anything, like titles or effects,
on another video track until I’m pretty much done with my
multicam (V1) track. Then I start adding shi…..stuff.
    Then I render.
You could always un-select then select again, the track and make FCP not see the render
then you will see all the angles again.
