Multiclip on Macbook Pro – Is anyone using a numeric keypad?
Posted by Les Kaye on December 29, 2007 at 12:32 amI’m using a Targus numeric keypad and I get a series of strange anomalies. Is there something I should know?
Thanks..

December 29, 2007 at 6:45 amThe keypad is recognized by the MBP, it’s recognized by various programs, including Windows on Parallels AND FCP. However…
When I try to use the numeric keypad for multiclip editing, as I said, it’s weirdness. I can’t use the Apple key as a modifier with the numeric keypad for cutting to angles (as I do with a MacPro). In fact I can’t use ANY modifier keys to do this. I can finally map the cut to video angle to the numeric keypad unmodified, but then it also becomes useable with the Control key. I can’t map Switch to Video angle to a modified key after mapping the cut to command. I’ve tried modifying an existing keyboard template, to the Apple multicam template, and to the default keyboard template. Nothing works properly.
Another strangeness is that when I hit the + key in the viewer or canvas, it activate the numeric field, but then I can’t enter a number.
I’m beginning to think this keypad is just not Mac compatible.
Thanks for your response.
