Multiclip names not updating in the Browser — how to fix?
I’ve created some multiclips (using PluralEyes). PluralEyes adds its own name (“PluralEyes 0,” “PluralEyes 1,” etc.) to the end of each multiclip.
So I’ve clicked on the multiclip’s name, and replaced “PluralEyes 0” with my own text (“Scene 1A TK1”).
But the FCP Browser still shows “PluralEyes 0”! When I click to rename, the highlighted name is “Scene 1A TK1,” but as soon as I click somewhere else to deselect the name field, the clip goes back to being called “PluralEyes 0.”
Has anyone seen this? Is there a fix? I’m using Final Cut Pro 7.0.2 with Snow Leopard 10.6.4.
By the way, I know FCP 7.0.3 came out yesterday, but I like to wait before updating–unless you think that release will fix this issue.
EDIT: I found a workaround: if I right-click on a clip and choose Item Properties–>Format… and rename the clip in that window, the name sticks. I’d still like to know what’s happening.
Sorry, there were no replies found.
