We are experiencing two issues with multiclips from the same project:

Issue One: With some, not all, multiclips error messages pop up when we try to access specific multiclips that have been cut into our timelines. When we double click on certain multiclips that are in the timeline, we get a “General Error” immediately followed by an “Error: Not Enough Memory.” When we access the multiclips through the browser, they play fine. We only get the errors when we cut the multiclips into the timeline, and it is the same multiclips each time.

Issue Two: Other multiclips do not play in the viewer as they are being played within the sequence. The image stalls on the initial frame. The audio continues to play off the sequence so it seems to only be a problem with the multicliped video.

Pretty certain, we are dealing with corruption, we just can’t figure out where the corruption is (project, sequence, or actual multiclips). We are still on FCP 5.1.1 due to the XSAN/QuickTime 7.1.3/iTunes 7 issues. Any thoughts or experience out there?
