  • multiclip color correction gets wacky from g5 to intel mac pro

    Hi

I have a one hour show of a concert, line switch and three iso’s and i made three “favorite” color correction settings for three of the four feeds. went through the show and dropped the favorites on their respective angles which in some cases were part of a multiclip, and in other cases were straight edits ie one source cut in traditionally.

copied the job and media over to a new dual core intel we JUST got, and when i opened the job the color correction was:

missing on some clips, the wrong angle on others, and doubled up on or tripled up on others, and ok on the rest

since the show is an hour long, and i have yet to go through it and really take stock of the DAMAGE AND TIME LOST because of this, i cannot say for sure how ectensive this is

has anyone else had this issue? waht did i do wrong? and waht does this bode for the future ie moving jobs between our dual g5 and the intel? (is this yet another clever marketing ploy to sell more intel boxes)

    please help

    bee eph

    Soooo

I opened the same show back on the g5 as i left it, when i thought all was well, and lo and behold the same issues were there

however its not as bad as i thought

FWIW when i was working w edit, when i would post a question about “is this a bug?” I would get an answer, usually the beta testers who were done with that version (ie their NDA did not apply to released versions)

I find the fact that apple never admits what are known bugs or “issues” to be a real pain. at least if i knew waht was wrong, i would have more confidence i was making a mistake

and dont gimme this “our software has no bugs” bah loney
