I have 2 cameras shooting a scene. I captured the footage, and loaded them into a multiclip comp… the problem is,, I started A camera, then 5 seconds later started B camera, so there is a delay between the two pieces of footage… How do I synch them up?

    Sorry… first time multi-cam shoot!

    Thanks

Just open the manual and look for the details on how to set them up. It’s easy, you just need to find the sync points of each clip before you make the multiclip.

The multclip editing function in FCP is kinda clunky. It works and it works well but it’s not easy to set up. If you exit and come back, the setting may change. Go through the setup procedure very carefully. You may also want to load the button bar for multiclip.

Beware: There’s a huge difference between SWITCHING and CUTTING clips.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
