    Hi,

I recently shot an interview, intending to edit it multicam, my first such effort. Naturally there are problems.

I’m using a mix of camera, 1 Panny P2 and 2 Sony HDR-11s. Since they shoot in different codecs, i have to reformat them to make them work in final cut as a multicam.

someone recommended reformatting all the footage to apple prores, 1280 x 720. I shot the sony in the highest definition–1980 x 1080.

In general i am confused by and afraid of changing formats. how much will i lose in this transition? would it be better to just edit with the two sony’s linked as multicam and the panny synced but on it’s own track? just to keep the quality? playback is a issue when i try that.

primary output is to the web, but i’m a photographer in my other life, and have something of a religious belief about image quality.
