I just put back my Kona3 card into my 8-Core, running FCP6 and multicam performance hit the floor.

Without the card it was fine, with it it is playing back about 2 frames a second. I have RT set to unlimited, Dynamic on both options, footage looks great it is just the frame rate. Tried Frame rate at Full and video quality at low and no change in rate or quality.

I also have a vertical band that travels horizontally on my analog video out – component.

Oh, footage is all DVCProHD 1080i 29.97. On 10 bay SATA Raid 0.

Worked fine in FCP5 and in G5.

[msacci] “I also have a vertical band that travels horizontally on my analog video out – component.”

You installed the new 4.0 drivers from AJA?

yes, and I’m wondering if that is what did it. I installed it a couple of days ago and just now but not until now did I need to uncollapse some clips to make edits. to a few sots.

You have run the expansion slot utility according to the manual so that the Kona is getting enough lanes?

Switch my system back to 5.1.4 and it is all golden.

That is a good one to report to Apple. Sounds like an FCP 6 bug to me.

Or a problem with AJA driver since multicam plays back fine in FCP6 without the card.
