multicam not working with c100 footage
I use the multicam feature all the time. I just did a shoot with two c100’s. The footage has all been transcoded to ProRes 422 and imported into FCP X 10.1.3.
The multi cam feature is not working. It created the MC clip but when you open it there is just the two clips with a huge slug in between and no actual sync.
I’ve tried using the audio sync as well as creating markers but no luck.
Any idea what would be wrong here? I’m about to buy 2 c100’s so I’m hoping to get this issue resolved.

Have you tried giving each camera angle a unique name? it seems as if X is seeing the two clips has being the same camera. So if it you give them a unique name, it may sort out.

Hi. I’ve 2 Sony CX900s and am experiencing the same unacceptable “stacking end-to-end” issue when I try to make a multicam. Each was called “Clip 1.” I tried changing that but was unsuccessful in getting FCPX to correctly synch my footage.
FYI – I’m writing this from the Apple Store. I just stumped my 1:1 FCPX guru. 🙁
I’m hoping someone else here has a suggestion!!
