Multibridge Extreme Delivery Backlog
Perhaps someone at BMD can shed some light on the availability of the Multibridge Extreme. I’m getting a little anxious. I ordered one on December 19 (a month now), and have received no info as to when I might receive it. My vendor keeps saying they’re backordered – well, DUH!
I have a new FCP system that is ready to go, EXCEPT for the Multibridge. Every day that goes by is money lost.
Is there really THAT much demand for these, or is the output of the manufacturer really THAT slow?
Anyone? Buehler?

I think it is just going very slow. My reseller says they are still trying to fill orders from earlier in the year. I’m also ready to go. The Atto UL5D is coming today.
Got the PowerMac Quad. Now just waiting for Blackmagic. The thing for me is, I’ve got some down-time and now is the perfect time to troubleshoot this thing. Oh, well…I suppose if you want a real answer, you could call the Blackmagic Rep in Las Vegas. I think his info is on their website.

The Multibridge Extreme is a very complex product and thus takes a long time to build. We’ve been hammering our manufacturing plant pretty hard, but it’s still difficult to keep up with the back orders as well as the demands. The good news is that we’ve got a new machine in that will greatly speed up this process and it’s being put into place right now as I type this. Not only will this speed up the manufacturing process of the Multibridge Extreme, but our other products as well.

Thanks for the status update on the Multibridge Extreme. I’m glad for BMD that this product is in such demand – it is the perfect solution for many folks like me.
