    Hey guys,

Just wondering what is the best way of doing the following. Firstly does Final Cut Studio work OK with multi-users on a mac with different mac profiles? Here’s my problem. I’m still trying to share media (when I say media I mean Final Cut Pro project files, images, animations – not what goes on the scratch disks, autosaves etc) with a PC and to do so the only way I can share it is by putting it in the drop box on one profile of user one. The problem then is that when user two is in their profile they cannot save material into user one’s drop box. I’ve tried setting the permissions and everything to no avail. The only way around this is NOT to share it on the system hard disk but an external hard disk. If I use an external firewire drive I cannot share it over the network – if you can I dont know how! So in point summary this is what I need…

    1. I would like to have multpile user accounts without having conflicts where I can’t save FCP project files.
    2. I would like to network this same folder on a Windows & Mac network.

Anyone have any suggestions as to the best way I can do this?

    Thanks,

    Phil

Do you mean user accounts? What do you mean by mac profiles?

Save it in the shared folder. (Macintosh HD/Users/Shared)
