I will be cutting a multi-episode show that will require me to lay 4 tracks of audio to Digibeta and possibly 8 tracks of audio to a DA-88. Due to some work policies, I can’t update my current suite to FCP 5 so I can’t run any tests until I start this project, but I will have an FCP 5 suite with a BlackMagic Decklink HD Pro for this project. First, does FCP 5 let me determine which tracks on my timeline go to which tracks on the DBeta and DA-88 ala Avid Direct Out Audio settings? If I have the Blackmagic Decklink HD Pro card do I need additional equipment to output to a DA-88? Should I have a digital mixer in my suite set-up?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jamie

    Current setup:
    Dual 2.0 G5
    2GB RAM
    FCP 4.5
    Blackmagic Design Decklink HD
    XRaid/XSan storage solution
