I have several audio tracks in a sequence in PPro CS3, all of which are at varying degrees of volume. As they are also on different tracks, I can’t simply adjust the master volume for that track as some of the audio I need to make louder, and some quieter.

Is there a way to have all the audio peaks at a certain level so that all the audio tracks are of equal if not similar volume?

I know there is a way to sort out the peaks in Final Cut Pro, so is there a method in Adobe’s offering??

    Thanks in advance.

You can “Normalize” an audio clip, but not the track. Right click on each audio clip and choose Audio Gain and then the Normalize button.

Hmmm… another reason to consider FCP when my next equipment change is due. C’mon Adobe, give us a COMPLETE product and not something so half hearted…

Thanks anyway Mike – BTW, the site you link to in your sig is broken? No index.html it says…
