Hey, just switching over from FCP and looking for some pointers on handling my audio:

so here’s my situation: Shot Arri Raw video files, Audio recorded separately and is 6 track mono recording, everything Jam-synced. I synced everything up in PP CC, and I’ve started to edit everything but I feel like having 6 audio tracks is kinda paralyzing. What I would like to do is have all the audio channels in 1 track rather than 6 tracks (and let the audio post house do the final mix).

    My question is:

    1) Can I do this?

    2) I see that you can ‘modify > audio channels’ but I’ve already synced everything (using ‘Merge clips’), and started editing. Is there another way to do it? and do it from the sequence?

    3) Can I update my files already in use (in the sequence), or do I have to start over again?

    4) If I have to redo all my syncing & ‘merge clips’, is there a way to preserve my edit without having to redo it? (maybe send out to an EDL/XML and from original file, and import into newly updated file?)

Any help and advise is appreciated!!!

    Gary
