    Hello,
I just switched over to Premiere Pro CS5 from final cut, and i have to do a 2 camera multi-camera edit for a school concert. I’ve figured out how to set it up, and do the edit, however I’ve found that it’s a bit of a pain in the ass to have to go back into the timeline and at my cross dissolves for each edit. Generally these concerts are about an hour and a half with an edit every 5-10 seconds. I would love it if anyone could tell me a way to automatically insert the transition as I “Live edit” in Multi-Camera.

    Thanks,
    Matt

You can apply the default transition to multiple selected clips with one command. See this section of Premiere Pro Help.

Okay, I have a similar, but apparently different problem because the Adobe link that you provided does not work for me.

I am using CS5.5. Editing a feature film using footage from the Red MX. Multiple audio tracks for each video clip. VERY non-linear edits with a total of 3 tracks being used for video and up to 5 tracks being used for audio. Some video tracks are overlayed on top of other video tracks (composited).

Applying the default transitions does not work for this sequence. Do you have a solution for this?

I have to say that it is very frustrating to not be able to use this feature.

    Hey Todd,

I’ve been running into the same problem when i overlay lower 3rds on my video track. I’m no scientist, but it seems to me that there is no quick way of adding default transitions to multiple video tracks. I’ve tried a few things and that function only works if you are adding transitions to multiple clips on the same track. That being said, if you find out a good shortcut please let me know, i edit everyday using lower thirds and it’s a pain in the ass having to put in two transitions for every graphic. If i find anything out i’ll post it here.

    Good Luck
