    FCP 6.0.6

    4 camera multi-clips, DV-NTSC Anamorphic. MacPro, OS 10.7.4

I have done this before on previous episodes of the same show.

Lay down the multiclip in the timeline. Double click to open it in the viewer. In the canvas use the top-middle button to select sync. When you play the timeline you see the 4 clips play back in sync and you can begin switching angles. Right?

The problem: When I double-clicked the clip so that it is open in the viewer, and sync it, rather than the usual 4 angles I only see the one, selected, angle. When I press stop it switches to the multi-cam view, and its in sync, but when I actually “play” the timeline I only see one, full screen, clip playing back in sync.

I’m sure that I must have simply clicked on the wrong button somewhere, but I just can not seem to find it.

    Suggestions?

In the RT menu on the timeline…select MULTICLIP PLAYBACK

I had this problem too. First I second what Shane said. The other problem can be if the clip rendered. Is there a green bar over the clip? If not go into your render files an delete the multiclip render file. Final cut will only show you the alternate angles during playback in a pre rendered state.
