MTS Interlacing issues
Footage:.MTS
Camera:Canon C100
Format: 1080/50i
Edit software: Premiere Pro CS5.5
Workstation: Mac ProWe cant seem to get rid of this interlacing/combing issue when exporting to any formats from PP. The footage imports automatically as progressive, and we created the sequences by draggin a clip to the new sequence button so that the settings would match accordingly. Sometimes in the program monitor, the interlacing artifacts show up, and sometimes they don’t. Even after applying BCC deinterlace filter, the exported file still has those issues. Tried interpreting the footage, change field order in seq settings, but none solves the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If your footage is interlaced, you should set up an interlaced timeline. If Premiere does not interprete the footage correct you can correct that in the Modify/Interprete footage.
If Premiere does not have a default sequence for the Canon (cant remember) you can make a custom one. Make sure the fields are set to upper.
Then you can export to progressive.———————————————–
