    Hi guys,

first of all, I’d like to excuse me for my bad English which is not my mothertongue ^^

I’m currently working on Final cut pro 5 on a sequence in 1920*1080 as it is mentioned in the title.
My problem is that when i try to export it in mpeg2, the sequence is resized in 720*404…
Is it normal? If not, how can I do for my export to be in its original size?

Is there a parameter to change somewhere?

    Thanks in advance

How are you delivering this video? DVD, computer file, etc. If it is for DVD I have bad news for you.
Mpeg-2 is SD (Standard Definition) = 720X480. Your HD project will always be scaled down to fit within that. The Mpeg-2 video stream will not handle that amount of information. If you want a true HD picture you’ll need to output to a HD codec like H.264 or DVCPro HD. These will not play on a DVD player. DVD is only Mpeg-2. If you need to export the same thing on your timeline just export to quicktime at current settings. That will make one really big self-contained HD movie.
