In the MPEG2 options box, under “encoding”, the options refer to Variable Bit rate, etc. What about Profiles/Levels of
MPEG2? For instance, I have a High Definition 1920×1080 movie I want to export and then stream to my HDTV.
I want to ENSURE the image encodes/decodes correctly since it’s HD. I know that MPEG2 makes a distinction and selects the appropriate algorithm, but don’t I have to tell it what to do? Or, are these instructions given to the encoding process through my “Sequence Settings” when I first import the movie and tell Final Cut how big it is, etc?
I tend to believe that Final Cut Pro 4.x and under does not support the CORRECT encoding of High Definition movies because
of this advertisment I read about Final Cut Pro 5.0’s “Compressor 2”:www.manuals.info.apple.com/en/Compressor_New_Features.pdf
    What do you think? Thanks!
