MPEG Streamclip help…
Trying to extract video from a DVD using MPEG Streamclip (yes, legitimate video!)… every 10 seconds or so there is a 1 frame audio dropout, and a skipped video frame a few frames after the audio dropout.
I suspect it has something to do with the “Fix Timecode Breaks” that it wants to do – it finds around 80 timecode breaks in the DVD stream… although the DVD itself plays perfectly with no dropouts, hits, etc.
Any ideas?

Try DVDxDV instead.

Did you fix the timecode breaks? If not do so.

Yes, I did… program identified around 75-80 timecode breaks, which, interestlngly enough, is probably close to the number of audio dropouts in the resulting .mov
The DVD I’m extracting from wasn’t authored per se, but recorded on a DVD recorder…

Hmm. Is it asking you to do all of the VOBs at once or do you do them one at at time? I would try doing them one at a time and see what that gets you. If it asks if you if you want to add all the files say no and continue.

Streamclip had real problems with DVDs coming from DVD recorders. I never had a problem with Streamclip when the DVDs are authored. But the last 4 or 5 DVDs coming from clients that use recorders would not work.
I purchased DVDxDV and that program worked on all the ones that Sreamclip didn’t.
