MPEG Streamclip HDV to DNxHD – Loss of Saturation / Washed Out
Hey Everyone!
This is my first time posting to this board so please let me know if I have any errors with etiquette or if I’ve posted this to the wrong section.
I’ve been trying to transcode a Quicktime that was encoded with the Apple HDV codec to Avid DNxHD using MPEG Streamclip [both version 1.9.2 and 1.9.3b4] and the resulting Quicktime movie is always considerably washed out / unnaturally less saturated.
I’ve tried both 709 and RGB at DNxHD 220 both 10-bit and 8-bit [Avid Codecs version 2.3.2] to no avail.
The odd thing is that converting the clip using Quicktime Pro did not create this issue.
Has anyone else had this issue with MPEG Streamclip?
Thank you all for your time!
