I have captured HD video in AP Pro…I have all the mpeg files the largest being 2gb…

I want to burn the files and send them to a friend, however when he received them he was prompted for a password to open them?

Do I have to export each file? I thought I could just burn the captured files.

Please let me know my options

[Geoff Heith] “I thought I could just burn the captured files.”

You can, but you need to create a standard DVD if you want compatibility.

P.S. My response was for “view only”, if your recipient wants to be able to edit the files then you will need to send them a format that they can use. Unfortunately, MPEG has many variations, few of which are suitable for editing.

I would recommend using DV for SD and HDV for HD, just to be certain the recipient will be able to use the clips.

    Cheers
