  MPEG 50 Vs Imx 50?

  I have a project which is SD Pal. Allot of the footage has been shot on XDCAM SD @ Imx 50. Some footage is ex digi beta and some files have come from an OB truck, Using EVS software which out puts to external hard drives in avid MXF and I believe Imx 50 also. The Avid I am running is on a Mac and is 3.5.4 software. The hardware accelerator is an SDI Mojo.

  Which is the best quality codec to set the Avid project up to work in. I was initially told MPEG 50 and now have been told to keep it all in the same codec as the SD XDCAM. The program is being made to SD broadcast TV.

  I do not have the IMX codec as an option in my Avid but I have been told that I can purchase this codec as a plug in for Avid. I run FCP also on the same machine and it does have the imx codec.

  So your collect advice would be much appreciated.
