MPEG-4 QT movie doesn’t play in FCP
A European friend has given me his MPEG-4 QT movie and wants me to marry music to the project. When I pull it into FCP the movie is all green and distorted. When I tried to pull it into QT and re-export it as a different movie, it didn’t work.
Any ideas?

You do not have the codec required to view the file.

I have the most recent Tiger, QT, FCP suite. Shouldn’t I have this codec?
