Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Mpeg 2 HD

    I have a client thats needs final output of project in Mpeg 2 HD at 30 fps and 20mbps. Since i dont have this option on output of AE what is the best way to convert to this?

    I’m not sure about earlier versions of AE but if you’re on CS3 or higher you will have an HD MPEG2 Blu-Ray output preset. You can find this in the Output Module Settings under the Format drop-down menu. Select “MPEG2 Blu-ray”. Then under Video Output click the Format Options button and adjust your data rate to meet your clients specs.

    i am on ae 7…looks like an upgrade is in the works.

    got ae 4 but gives me know options for blu ray…or mpeg 2 hd.

    do i have to have the codecs installed?

    I’m assuming that by “ae 4” you mean that you’ve upgraded to AE CS4. As far as I know, the codecs, etc. should all be installed when you install the creative suite application. Do you have the suite with Encore, Premiere, etc. or just After Effects by itself? You might check with Adobe and see if the Blu-Ray output is only included with the suite. I don’t really know. Sorry.
