This is my first post here. I apologize if there’s a post like this here but I could’t find any.So the problem:
I have 250 frames work area on my timeline in PPro. I need to have widescreen PAL clip 25 fps. When I render this uncompressed, MediaInfo shows exactly 10 second video file with 250 frames containing exactly 10s audio . But coding it to mpeg-2 gives me 10s 56 ms video file containing 248 frames ( 9.920 s) and 10s 56 ms for audio. Why is it so? Our clients need exact time for clips – 10s for 10s and 30 sec for 30 sec – no more no less.
Could anyone make it clear for me?Thank’s in advance

I have experienced issues with the MPEG2 encoder creating a short time lag with the audio. Import the encoded file into your project and compare to the final sequence. If the problem is confirmed you can offset by trimming/editing the beginning and pulling the audio forward by the same amount as the lag. Re-encode and check exported file in Premiere Pro.
The loss of two video frames is a bit more perplexing. If the issue is confirmed when you import the encoded file to Premiere Pro, please post a screen capture of the export settings.
