  Mp4 incorrect time values

  This is not a CatDv issue, but it bit me hard with a client using Mp4’s as their proxy. So I thought I’d post it.

  Episode 6 is doing something funky with Mp4’s with a H.264 codec. Telestream support was able to recreate the problem and is hopefully working on a fix. CatDv correctly reports Incorrect Time Values in the import notes.

  Below is my e-mail to support:

  Every Mp4 I create in Episode 6 seem to wreak havoc on other encoding software. I’m creating a Mp4 with a H.264 codec. In QT Pro it plays, but if I try to export I get a white screen. The audio plays. If I try to save as, I get Incorrect Time Values.

  In Mpeg Streamclip the Mp4’s won’t export as well.

  In Episode 5, with the same settings, I do not have this problem.

  Can someone try to compress a Mp4 container, H.264 codec with Episode 6, and see if you can export with QT Pro? I’m on Snow Leopard, QT 7.6.6.
