I have mp4 files that i have imported into FCP off a cd and its playing choppy. Need a fix. Ive had this problem with audio before off a cd. I forget the simple fix if this is the same problem. Thanks!

Use MPEG Streamclip or Compressor to transcode your MP4’s into a format that places nicer with FCP. If these are SD, convert them to DV/DVCPRO quicktimes. If they are HD, you do Pro Res or DVCPRO HD.

Yes transcode the footage, and mpeg streamclip is a great way to do it.

Have as good a day as you can.
