  • mp3’s get cut in half after importing into Premiere cs4

After installing Adobe Premiere cs4 I’ve noticed a huge difference when importing mp3 files.

If I import a small (1 second) mp3 file Premiere almost cuts it in half. So if there was 1 second of sound, there would only be .5 seconds of sound and the rest would be blank (in waveform).

The files play fine on a media player. But, once I import them into Premiere half of the sound is gone.

I’m probably not explaining this well, if you need more information please let me know.

    Thanks for your help.

Your best bet when experiencing problems with MP3 files is to convert them to standard wave files which will definitely work.
