Just noticed that an mp3 audio track when RAM previewing a short section in AE doesn’t consistently play at exactly the right time. On one RAM playback it will line up with the visual animation perfectly then on a second play without changing anything it will be out by a fraction of a second.
Saving the Audio as an uncompressed WAV file seems to have solved the issue but I am curious why the mp3 causes the problem.

Can’t see a way to stipulate a frame rate for the mp3 (in case of frame rate mismatching) but then I’m not doing that for the WAV file either and it works. Perhaps it’s due to the mp3 compression??

Any thoughts as would love to know what’s going on!
    Cheers

must convert to .aif or .wav
    AE hates mp3 like poison.
