  MP2 to edit in FCP then export back to MP2

  Hello,

  I have a few MP2 files that were exported from Avid and that I would like to convert, take into FCP7, use my Neat Video filter, and export back to MP2 to be used in the avid again.

  My concern is that this process will downgrade the video quality.

  My process has been to use Adobe Media Encoder to convert the MP2 file into a H.262 file, bring that file into FCP7, apply the filter, export through compressor back to MP2.

  Personally, I feel this is the best process, but I would like to hear feedback, is there a better way to execute this?
