In the review of Exc. 4.5 in this forum (just below), there is a demo picture of Vegas 6 interface with the video tracks on the bottom of the screen and the Monitor window on the top. How was that done? I tried I could not do it.
    Could someone explain?

    Thanks

CAUTION! This is a potentially dangerous process that can mess up Vegas. If you mess up, you’ll have to restart Vegas holding down the SHIFT key to reset all settings. So… proceed at your own risk:

Hold the SHIFT KEY and go to Options – Preferences and there will be a new tab marked “Internal.” Search for the word “Dock” in the word field.
    Change this to TRUE.

Close the preferences screen and your timeline will now be on the bottom of the screen.

Thank you Edward. Your instructions worked. Now the time line is on the bottom of the screen and the rest is on the top. To others: when you come back with “dock” setting set to True, the timeline cover the whole screen. You have to grab the edge and roll the timeline top down to reveal the monitor window and other windows.

To reset you can also just do the same as in Edward’s instructions and set “dock” back to false.
