  • moving timeline to another project in MC 6.5

    Hi

Im new to MC and am learning as I go. I just finished cutting 4 videos in separate projects but now I need to make a trailer of all 4. What is the best way to export the timeline and import it into another project?

    thank you in advance

    Make a new project.
In the project window, click the fast menu and choose “Open Bin”.
Navigate to the other project’s sequence bin and open it.
Do this with all four projects.
    Edit your trailers.

Or copy those bins at the desktop level into your new project.

    No need to export anything.

another question please…now that Ive transferred the footage to one time line, it seems to be like a ‘read only’ file and won’t allow me to edit anything. did i need to change a setting?

Are you saying it allowed you to make a new timeline, cut four individual sequences into that blank timeline, but won’t let you do anything else to that time line?

Are you perhaps looking at the source side sequence? (is the little
double monitor icon in the bottom left of your timeline green?)

If you load up a sequence in the source side, then yes it is read only, but the record side should be fine, unless you’ve locked some of your tracks
