  • Moving Shortcuts to Premiere CC?

Posted by Bill Depalma on June 18, 2013 at 7:20 pm

I have just loaded up Premiere CC and am wondering how I can get my personal keyboard layout from PP6 into the new CC app. I have copied my .kys file from the Premiere6 into the same folder of Premiere CC but I do not see it as in the keyboard shortcut menu drop down on CC. Any thoughts?
    thanks

Me too! Don’t tell me we have to redo them all?

I believe the Shortcut file must be stored on the Cloud now.

n order to access your Premiere Pro CS6 keyboard shortcuts in Premiere Pro CC do the following steps:

    For Windows:

    Copy your .kys file from
    C:Users[username]AppDataRoamingAdobePremiere Pro6.0

    and paste to
    C:Users[username]DocumentsAdobePremiere Pro7.0Profile-[username]Win

    Mac:

    Copy your .kys file from
    /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Premiere Pro/6.0

    and paste to
    /Users/[username]/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/7.0/Profile-[username]/Mac

    Amazing, it worked.
I had to create the Profile-dmglab folder but it worked !

    Thanks!

So I followed this path and it worked. Then I tried to sync my preferences on the cloud and it wiped out all my settings. Possibly my bad. but then when I went to set the keys again the file is in the right place but my keys aren’t showing up. thoughts?
